It’s easy to go through life without being intentional about where you’re going. Life just sweeps you up, and then one day, you look up and realize you’re surprised at where you are. Maybe you’re further along than assumed or perhaps not even close to the goals planned, or you’ve ended up on a course you never considered as an option.  Our careers are not a destination; they are a journey.

One way we can ensure we get to where we want to go is by being intentional in our plans and actions. 

We need to pause and assess how deliberate we’ve been and whether we need to make a change. 

We have the opportunity at each chapter of our lives to decide: What do I need from my professional life? In some phases, it’s more challenging, and in some, it will be less. Both are okay when we’re okay with them.
